Our Programs & Classes

Students and enthusiasts of Krav Maga have many reasons for their interest in this and other martial art styles. Some are drawn to the physical fitness and weight-loss aspects of training. Others seek to add discipline and self control to their lives. While still others are concerned about safety and self-defense.

Whether you are interested in our programs for mental or physical well being, Atlanta Krav Maga and Fitness offers a number of programs that will fit your developmental needs and your busy schedule as well.


Krav Maga

Unlike most martial arts that are formal, ritual-oriented, and difficult to learn, Krav Maga is based on instinctual fight or flight movements and on natural reflexes. There is only one rule in Krav Maga: use everything you’ve got. Krav Maga’s emphasis is on simple movements, allowing people of all ages and fitness levels to learn real self defense. Instructors incorporate reenactments, teaching students how to operate under the stress of an actual attack. “It doesn’t really matter how strong you can kick or punch if you can’t perform when your life is in danger,” explains Darren Levine, U.S. Chief Instructor and 6th Degree Black Belt. “Students learn to tap their aggressiveness in any situation. When your throat is grabbed, your instinct is to reach up and grab the attacker’s hands. Krav Maga teaches you how to go with that instinct and turn it into a defense.” A complete head-to-toe, full body workout that combines kicking, punching, street fighting, ground fighting, and defenses against weapons, Krav Maga gets its students into prime physical shape.

Force Training for Law Enforcement

We offer classes specifically for Law Enforcement personnel. These classes are geared towards the realities and situations law enforcement officers face on a daily basis. Classes cover Weapon Retention, Edged Weapon Defenses, Gun Defenses, and much more.

Fitness

Our newly expanded fitness program is perfect for anyone who wants to get into great shape without learning self-defense. Whether your goals are increased cardio, weight loss, strength, flexibility, endurance, or to just have fun, the fitness classes will get you there FAST!! Each class is different. There are no set routines so you will always challenge your body and you will NEVER get bored.

For those who like to kick and punch we also offer our Combat Fitness class 3x a week. This class uses all the kettlebells, jump ropes, Bulgarian bags, and exercises you will find in the regular fitness classes but it doesn’t stop there. The main workout of the class will be high energy fast paced punching and kicking combinations on the focus mitts and Thai Pads. Fight

Fight class is one hour long and helps students work to improve their skills through sparring and grappling in a more sport-focused setting. You will improve your vision, foot work, and your overall endurance in each class. This class is an fantastic addition to your self-defense training. Limited to Level 2 students and higher.
